Once again, the thermometer reached record heights over the past few days. The tropical temperatures were also evident at Plantarium. Despite the heat, there was a positive atmosphere at the fair and a perfect climate for doing business. The number of trade visitors did not suffer as a result. However, the total number of visitors did fall slightly. All the same, the spacious layout with all those cooling green plants meant that Plantarium was truly cool.

Freund's Negamold product is an ethanol vapor generator that inhibits mold growth and absorbs oxygen, enhancing shelf life of wheat bread, rye bread and pre-baked buns. Negamold is sold in sachets that release ethanol vapor into the packaging headspace.

Atherstone Foods Recalls Wraps Due To Misbranding, Undeclared Allergens

Atherstone Foods, a Richmond, Calif. establishment, is recalling approximately 422 pounds of chicken wrap products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The product contains soy, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label.
