Potatoes USA is pleased to announce Alex Cooper of Bethesda, Maryland, will be the manager of its Spud Nation food truck expansion into Washington, D.C., and the surrounding Mid-Atlantic area. Additionally, Brandon Cassulis has joined the Spud Nation Food Truck in Denver. He will be traveling around town inspiring consumers with field-to-fork potato adventures.

The Bhagwa variety, renowned for its soft seeds and sweet taste, has finally managed to reach the USA after sustained efforts by the Indian NPPO, APEDA (export promotion council for fresh produce) and Maharashtra state government authorities. The pomegranates had to undergo an irradiation treatment of 400 Gy.

FDA's Refusals Of Indian Shrimp For Banned Antibiotics At Record Levels

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has released details regarding imports refused entry into the United States for the month of April. In total, the agency reported refusing 171 seafood entry lines last month. Of these, 20 (11.7%) were of shrimp entry lines refused for reasons related to banned antibiotics.
