(NYSE: KR) today announced the promotion of Michael Marx, currently vice president of people operations for Kroger, to serve as president of Roundy's Supermarkets, Wisconsin, effective April 1. The company also announced the promotion of Don Rosanova, currently executive vice president of operations for Roundy's, to president of Mariano's, effective immediately. Both leaders will report to Roundy's CEO, Bob Mariano.

Hy-Vee To Open Training And Fulfillment Center In Urbandale

Hy-Vee Inc., the West Des Moines-based grocery store chain, bought the 81,936-square-foot former K’s Merchandise Mart building in Urbandale earlier this month. It plans to transform the former retail store into a training facility for employees and a fulfillment center for its online grocery ordering program, Hy-Vee Aisles Online.
