FSIS Announces Updates To Raw Pork Products Exploratory Sampling Program

The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced that it began implementing the next phase of its Raw Pork Products Exploratory Sampling Program (RPPESP) on January 4, 2016. The RPPESP collects data on the presence of Salmonella, other pathogens and indicator organisms in various pork products. The project includes retail sampling and exploratory sampling at slaughter and processing establishments.
