New IDDBA Mentor Grant Offers Members Up to $1,000

The International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association (IDDBA) has announced the launch of its new Mentor Grant that offers grants up to $1,000 to employees of member companies who have or are starting a mentor relationship with emerging professionals within their business. The program goal is to encourage seasoned professionals to be mentors and to share their experiences with the next generation of company leaders, whether they’re recent graduates, new to the industry, or on a new career path.

New Seasons Brings Grocery War To Seattle's Fast-Growing Ballard

A fast-growing Portland grocer on Friday announced plans to open a store in a new retail center in Seattle's fast-growing Ballard neighborhood. This will be New Seasons' second store in the Puget Sound region. The company plans to open a store on Mercer Island this fall. More store openings also are planned this year and next — one in Portland and two in the Bay Area.

A&P Continues Efforts To Sell Stores, Prepares For Next Phase Of Bankruptcy
