Indianapolis Fruit Company hosted its 28th Annual Golf Outing and Tradeshow on July 20th & 21st.  The yearly event brings together the wholesale distributor’s valued retail partners & vendors.  The 2015 Golf Outing & Tradeshow was one of Indianapolis Fruit Company’s most actively attended events in company history with over 600 total guests enjoying the 2-day event.

Calavo Growers Leases Former Food Lion Distribution Center In Clay County, FL

Santa Paula, Calif.-based Calavo Growers Inc. has signed a lease for 208,000 square feet of space in the former Food Lion center with the goal of bringing 262 jobs to Clay County in the next five years, stated a source close to negotiations with the property owner, True North Investments in Downers Grove, Ill. While details are few on the number of jobs that will be generated the first year of the lease, wages are to loom in the $12 an hour range.

Envy Is Making A Statement In The Apple Category

Freshlook Data indicates that in the first half of 2015, Envy delivered 20 percent higher dollar sales than in the same period last year, while also increasing in volume sold by 36 percent. Meanwhile, the apple category as a whole has dropped 13 percent in dollar sales and 8 percent in per-pound volume.
