The yogurt and yogurt drink market is a dynamic category both in the U.S. and worldwide, marked by constant innovation. The category has been revolutionized in recent years by Greek yogurt, which has surged from being from just a sliver of the yogurt market in 2007 to becoming the most important trend in the industry, albeit at the expense of non-Greek yogurt dollar and unit sales. More than 50% of sales can now be attributed to Greek yogurt. However, Greek yogurt's ascendance has slowed, and the industry is looking for additional ways to keep the momentum going.

Wisconsin Suspends Grade-A Milk Permit At Farm Responsible For Raw Milk Outbreak

State officials have suspended for 30 days the Grade-A milk production permit of a Durand dairy farm blamed for a raw-milk illness outbreak that sickened nearly 40 people, but the farm will be allowed to sell its milk for cheese and butter production during that time.

Blue Coast Bakers Slowly Adding Workers As It Nears Launch

A new commercial wholesale bakery just north of Ormond Beach that's looking to create at least 200 jobs in the next two years plans to fill some of those positions by holding a job fair this spring. Kambiz Zarrabi, managing director of Blue Coast Bakers, said his company — which is still installing equipment and setting up production lines at its plant on North U.S. 1 — likely will hold the hiring event in mid-April with the goal of adding 30 to 40 employees.
