According to a recent study run by Harvard University, which analyzed over 100,000 people over 30 years, nut consumption was inversely associated with total mortality by over 20%, disregarding the cause, and had an inverse relationship with some of the most common causes of death, such as cardiovascular disease and cancer.

Atlanta Public Transportation System Pilot Program Attempts Selling Produce At Transit Stations

Atlanta’s public transportation system, MARTA, isbringing produce to a transit station. In the pilot program, vendors will sell local produce in an area of the station where a ticket isn’t required, meaning non-riders could shop there, too. MARTA is optimistic that a program like this could not only serve the current riders but increase business for MARTA overall (the program itself will be revenue neutral).
