Festival Foods A New & Growing Entry Into The Madison Food Market

The grocers who considered building on East Washington Avenue or whose names were mentioned for the project a few blocks from the State Capitol are all familiar to Madison shoppers. Onalaska-based Skogen Festival Foods has 18 stores in the state, 10 of which have opened since 2006, all but one of them north of a line that stretches from Fond du Lac to La Crosse. The exception, at least until this week, is a 75,000-square-foot store in Kenosha, in far southeastern Wisconsin.
