Wegmans Food Markets takes an important new step this month in a food safety campaign focused on fresh fruits and vegetables. As of September 30, 2013 the supermarket chain is requiring all growers who furnish fresh produce to Wegmans to show they’ve passed a “Good Agricultural Practices” inspection – GAPs, for short.
