The organic and natural foods grocer previously set the record in 2008 and will sharpen its knives to attempt it again on March 9 at 2 p.m. CST.

Dairy Farm Families Partner With Hy-Vee, Others To Benefit Feeding South Dakota

Dairy farm families will again partner with First Bank & Trust, Hy-Vee and Lewis Drug to raise money for Feeding South Dakota. For the third year, dairy farmers will invite the public to “Be Our Guest” at a concert at the annual Central Plains Dairy Expo.  For a $10 donation to Feeding South Dakota, people will receive a pass to country music artist Phil Vassar’s concert on March 26.  Donations will be used to purchase dairy foods to stock food banks across the state.

The redesign, which began rolling out last year, marks the first time that the Lancaster County based company has changed its packaging in almost a decade. Going into 2013, Kreider is transitioning its entire dairy product line—milk, ice cream, half and half, buttermilk and heavy cream for both retail and foodservice—to the new packaging.

In putting together our list for Chicago's best bagels, one of our East coast-born staffers said the best ones to find are the dozen she flies back with from New York. Which is typical New York navel gazing bullshit. Chicago used to be home to the largest Jewish population in the country outside of New York City. Do you think they simply dumped bagels in favor of Italian beef and Chicago-style hot dogs? Border suburbs like Skokie, Lincolnwood and Evanston, and the North Shore, all have sizable Jewish populations.
