United Natural Foods, Inc. announced the appointment of Denise M. Clark to the Company's Board of Directors. Ms. Clark joins UNFI as an independent director and brings more than two decades of information technology experience, including experience in the delivery of enterprise resource planning (also known as ERP), digital platforms, and innovative business transformation initiatives.  She has also been a leader in change and governance programs that drive business value and success. Her appointment, effective February 21, 2013, increases the total number of Company directors to nine, including seven independent directors.
