IFTF Expo 2012 Projected To Increase In Size

The organisers of IFTF Expo are very pleased to learn that the number of pre registered visitors has increased with a third compared to last year’s figures. With an increase of 33.4% until today it looks like that the expectations made earlier this year, that the number of visitors would increase from 12.000 in 2011 to 18.000 this year, are becoming reality.

Local Lettuce Donations Raise Over $14,000 For Ag Against Hunger

Ag Against Hunger annually coordinates a fundraiser called the “New York Express” every October. This year, a truckload of donated lettuce from Salinas was sold at Hunt’s Point in New York City, raising over $14,000 for the Salinas based non-profit. Dole Fresh Vegetables, Ocean Mist Farms, Ippolito International, Taylor Farms, Tanimura and Antle, and The Nunes Company donated pallets of iceberg lettuce for this fundraiser, which benefits Ag Against Hunger’s fall and winter programs.
