The Great Big Idaho Potato Truck Rolls Into Atlanta

As part of its cross-country tour, the Great Big Idaho® Potato Truck spent a few days enjoying the southern hospitality in Atlanta, Ga. One of its first stops was the Atlanta Food Truck Park on 1850 Howell Mill Road. Lunchtime visitors had an opportunity to view this “spudtacular” vehicle and four local Meals On Wheels agencies received a total of 350,000 servings of Idahoan Mashed Potatoes, ready-to-serve, dehydrated potato products.

Specialty Crops Continue Strong Showing In House Agriculture Committee Farm Bill

The Specialty Crop Farm Bill Alliance, a national coalition of more than 120 organizations representing growers of fruits, vegetables, dried fruit, tree nuts, nursery plants and other products, commends House Agriculture Committee Chairman Frank Lucas and Ranking Member Collin Peterson for releasing the Committee’s version of the 2012 Farm Bill. United States Reaches Agreement With Pacific Islands On Tuna Treaty

The United States has announced it has reached an agreement on a financial package with Pacific Island Countries that are Parties to the Tuna Treaty. Key issues pushed by Pacific in the negotiations were the fishing opportunities afforded to the US purse-seine fleet in waters under the jurisdiction of the Pacific Island Parties and the overall financial package.
