L&M is excited to announce it is expanding its Michigan operations. L&M will be representing various Michigan growers, as well as consolidating a full line of vegetables in its new location on the Benton Harbor Market. Greg Cardamone, General Manager of L&M’s Vegetable division says, “In addition to working with several wonderful growers this year, we are happy to have a place we can officially call home on the Benton Harbor Market. F&S Produce in conjunction with Gloucester County College’s Division of Continuing Education has been awarded a $324,800 grant through the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development. This consortium grant will enable comprehensive training to be provided to employees at F&S Produce Co, and its sister companies Pipco Transportation and Mid-Eastern Cold Storage. …

The North American Produce Transportation Working Group (NAPTWG) announced the posting of a Spanish version of the comprehensive best practices document on their website. The site offers best practice and guidance documents pertaining to the handling and transport of fresh produce to facilitate a seamless, safe, and sustainable global supply-chain. The transportation resources are intended for shippers, receivers and carriers. …
