Walmart Supercenters Now Outnumber Regular Walmart Stores

The nation's biggest retailer announced last week that it will close its store at Severance Town Center and open a bigger Supercenter less than a mile away in adjacent South Euclid, at the Oakwood Commons development opening next summer. The move typifies Walmart Stores Inc.'s move from big-box stores to sprawling Supercenters stuffed with thousands more products.

Fresh & Easy Launches Easy Meal Idea Video Contest

Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market has launched the fresh&easy Meal Idea Video Contest, inviting customers to submit original easy meal idea videos through the Fresh & Easy Facebook page through April 30th for a chance to win $1,000 worth of groceries. Earlier this month, Fresh & Easy introduced a series of weekly videos showing customers how to create easy meals – using the company’s weekly promotions – that feed a family of four for less than $4 per person.
