Bill Boersma, one of the first dairy farmers in the Valley to become a cheese maker, has launched a new company in Fowler: 9th Street Cheese. The pioneering cheese maker is churning out his award-winning blue cheese and making a push into the Hispanic cheese market.

Sheboygan County's Sartori Co. Artisan Cheese Earns World Rankings

Earlier this month, Sartori Co. announced that its limited edition Cognac BellaVitano was named the top U.S. cheese and third-best cheese in the world among 2,500 entries at the World Cheese Awards in England, marking the highest finish ever for a U.S. cheese in that competition. The award is one of more than 100 that the company has received since introducing its own line of retail cheeses after purchasing the Antigo Cheese Co. in 2006.
