Three Students Awarded $20,000 California Grape Scholarships

Three California high school students will be achieving their goals of going to college thanks in part to California’s fresh grape farmers. The students, all children of farm workers in California’s fresh grape industry, were each awarded $20,000 college scholarships by the California Table Grape Commission.

Taiwanese Yellowfin Tuna Breeding Making Significant Progress

The Pingtung County Government announced May 20 that it has made significant progress in introducing yellowfin tuna aquaculture on Xiaoliuqiu Island. Some 200 yellowfin tuna with an average weight of around 4 kilograms have been raised since testing began in November of last year.
