Bakersfield, Calif.– Grape category leader Sun World International has promoted three executives within the company. Jason Fuller has been promoted to Vice President of Domestic Sales and Grower Relations, Julie Escobar has been promoted to Vice President of International Sales and Marketing, and Kris Long has been promoted to Vice President of Operations and Technology.
“These promotions reflect our commitment to empower our people and accelerate innovation,” Sun World CEO Merrill Dibble said. “It’s an exciting time to be at Sun World as we expand our international reach and grow our new proprietary varieties.”
Jason has a deep understanding of the needs of the retail marketplace and of growers. With over 20 years of experience and strong relationships within the produce industry, he is an ideal fit for this position. Julie has 17 years of experience in international business development and marketing and will continue to lead Sun World’s international business. She has done an outstanding job of growing the export business and brings an advanced knowledge of global markets. The marketing function will also be managed by Julie moving forward as the company continues to focus on growing and strengthening the Sun World brand both domestically and internationally. Kris has 15 years of experience in operations and technology and will efficiently drive results and continue to bring a wealth of experience and passion to the company’s processes.
“I have confidence that Jason, Julie, and Kris will continue to drive the success of our business and help Sun World expand its global brand presence,” Dibble said.
Sun World Executive Vice President Gordon Robertson has decided to pursue other opportunities and announced his departure effective August 3. “We are truly grateful for Gordon’s many contributions to our company over the last 10 years, and wish him the best of luck in his new venture,” said Dibble.
