CARTHAGE, MISS.- A company that processes chicken into breasts and tenders will hire 450 more people, expanding production in central Mississippi.
Pearl River Foods opened in 2017 in Carthage with 150 workers. The company said Thursday that about 100 new jobs are already filled.
Mississippi Development Authority spokesman Jeff Rent says the state is providing $500,000 to train workers.
