One good turn deserves another.
The Michigan Milk Producers Association recently honored Leprino Foods Co. with its Valued Partner Award for more than 30 years of continued collaboration. MMPA is a dairy farmer-owned cooperative and Leprino is a manufacturer of mozzarella cheese.
“We are grateful for our mutually beneficial relationship with Leprino Foods,” said Joe Diglio, MMPA general manager. “Together, our quality milk and Leprino’s innovative technology creates value for the industry and MMPA dairy farmers. Our work with Leprino showcases the lasting power of collaboration.”
Upon receiving the award, Leprino President Mike Durkin announced the firm would be donating more than 4,300 pounds of mozzarella string cheese to the Food Bank Council of Michigan, which serves food banks in the state’s 83 counties.
