TORONTO – Canada Bread Company, Limited ("Canada Bread"), a subsidiary of Grupo Bimbo S.A.B. de C.V. ("Grupo Bimbo" or "the Company") (BMV: BIMBO), announced today that it has completed the acquisition of the total shares of Stonemill Bakehouse Limited located in Toronto, Ontario.
Stonemill Bakehouse Limited is a leading producer of slow fermented craft breads baked in stone ovens using 100 per cent natural, non-GMO certified and organic ingredients. This operation will position Canada Bread for further growth, complementing its current product portfolio and its distribution and manufacturing footprint. The acquisition includes well-positioned brands such as Stonemill. The company employs approximately 100 associates and operates one production facility in Scarborough and a store in St. Lawrence Market in Toronto.
