When Silly Yak Bakery opened in 2002, it was ahead of the gluten-free food movement that is so prevalent today.
“We offer breads and treats along with cakes, pies, granola bars and donuts,” said Kyle Mook, owner of Silly Yak Bakery and the Bread Barn on Mineral Point Road in Madison. “We also carry gluten-free pasta from RP’s Pasta along with a selection of gluten-free beers such as Alt Brew and hard cider from Mershon’s.”
Mook purchased the two bakeries in May 2015 from Holly Beach. Beach had a passion to bake gluten-free bread so that everyone could enjoy fresh bread.
