Oakdale, MN – John Carkoski, Operations Manager at Maglio Minnesota has been accepted for the 2016-17 United Fresh Produce Industry Leadership Program Leadership Class 22. The yearlong fellowship program leads its students in hands-on training with top industry experts and educators, and interactive experiences with influential leaders in Washington. The participants will attend a series of customized trips that focus on leadership, government affairs and business relationships and media relationships as it relates to the produce industry.
The program is made possible by a generous grant from DuPont Crop Protection.
“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to participate in such a highly regarded leadership program while learning with and from some of the best in the produce industry,” said Carkoski. “I’m looking forward to better understanding and improving upon my skills as a leader and utilizing the knowledge gained to continuously improve the team and culture in Maglio Minnesota.”
Carkoski joined Maglio Companies in 2012 to open and manage Maglio Minnesota, a distribution and repack facility located in Oakdale, Minnesota. As operations manager, he is responsible for implementing and executing strategic goals, as well as all daily operations.
As a member of the United States Marine Corps, John served in combat tours to Afghanistan and Iraq earning a Purple Heart. After being honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant, John finished his bachelor’s degree in business administration.
