Haggen's remaining stores could be sold to Albertsons, a statement from a Washington union revealed.
The statement was provided to The Oregonian on Tuesday by a spokesman for UFCW Local 367, which represents grocery workers in the south Puget Sound region.
The statement was released in response to "Albertsons' purchase of the remaining Haggen core stores," it says.
The union says the FTC has approved the sale, and that the parties are now finalizing purchase agreements.
