IFTF Ready To Grow

Vijfhuizen –  Exhibitors can look back at one of the most successful, if not the best one until now, editions of IFTF in its 5 years existence. The expo was fully booked and even a waiting list existed before it opened last week on Wednesday November 5. The quality of the design of the stands was higher than ever and the variety as well as quantity of displayed flowers was bigger than ever before.

Three days of flower trade characterized the fair that was visited by 117 different countries, an increase of 3% compared to last year. However it was remarkable that from two countries the attendance was below expectations, i.e. the French and Germans. The number of participants that came through the doors was counted at 24,258 an increase of almost 5% compared to 2013. But the most important fact were the comments of many exhibitors made at the end of the show on the high quality of visitors that attended this year, including those from the technical suppliers that were also very pleased with the results of their participation.

The organizers of IFTF are now looking to 2015 and have announced an extension of available exhibition space. Expo Haarlemmermeer has the capacity to grow with net 10,000 m² on the short term and therefore the goal to become world’s biggest floriculture industry expo can, at least on a technical point of view, be realized without any limitation.
