The food industry faces increasing challenges to remain competitive by
keeping operating costs at a minimum and maintaining a strong and appealing
brand image. Some of the challenges include rising costs of energy, material,
labor, and waste disposal. We need to find ways to reduce emissions and use
renewable resources efficiently. Food companies are searching for strategies,
methods and technologies that are practical, efficient, cost-effective and, at
the same time, improve consumer loyalty and trust.
AIB’s Sustainability Essentials: Principles and Practice seminar addresses these
common industry challenges. This program gives solutions and guidance with
workable, tried and tested application. The topics and discussions are presented
by food industry experts who have demonstrated success by implementing
strategies, methods and technologies that support their companies’
sustainability efforts. Topics of interest pertain to regulatory, legislative,
political, environmental and manufacturing optimization.
Seminar attendees will benefit by learning how companies maximize energy
management, water control, production and maintenance costs, recycling and
measuring sustainability progress. These objectives are met with feasible,
logical, real world solutions.
