This award is presented to the most successful market introduction and Rob Verlinden, TV presenter and chairman of the jury, announced the winners in the four categories of cut flowers, house plants, garden plants and sales concepts. The awards ceremony took place during a festive meeting at Hotels van Oranje in Noordwijk.
In the cut flowers category, ArcadiA BV won first place with its Chrysanthemum Indicum Grp disbudded greenhouse 'Sombrella'. The jury was charmed by the natural look of this Chrysanthemum, which can be described as modern, hip and contemporary.
Bromelia Specialist BV, Stofbergen Plant Company BV and Ronald Bunnik won the Glazen Tulp award in the house plants category for their Tillandsia 'Samantha'. According to the jury, Tillandsia 'Samantha' possesses much innovative value, but remains neutral. The Tillandsia has a definite presence, and is very decorative in itself, meaning that it requires very little extra. It is a multi-faceted product for any home.
