Dover — The Delaware Department of Agriculture has updated its online nursery database to offer resources for finding local plants.
Featuring all licensed nurseries in the state, the database can be found at www.nurserylicense.dda.delaware.gov. Searches can be done based on county, company name, city and business type.
The goal of the database is to help consumers purchase plants from licensed growers, according to a news release. All plant growers are subject to inspection by the department, and any plant shipped into the state must also have a certificate stating that it was inspected in its original state.
