Brioche Pasquier Acquires Stake In Galaxy Desserts

Richmond, CA – Brioche Pasquier Group, the largest producer of brioche in the European Market, has acquired a majority stake in Galaxy Desserts, a leading U.S. producer of individual desserts and pastries based in Richmond, CA. Pasquier plans to bring its world-class line of baked goods to the American market.

Brioche Pasquier is headquartered in les Cerqueux, France. Led by its President, Pascal Pasquier, the company’s sales in 2011 were $721 mm (US), and it employed over 3,000 people in 16 production plants.

Jean-Yves Charon and Paul Levitan, co-founders of Galaxy Desserts, have retained ownership in the combined venture, and, together with Pascal Pasquier and Fabrice Sciumbata (International Director) from Brioche Pasquier Group, will continue to lead and manage the operation. Galaxy’s production facility in Richmond, CA will continue to serve as the company’s base of operations.
