Save-A-Lot To Open Thirteen New Stores Across Four States

ST. LOUIS — Save-A-Lot, one of the nation’s leading hard-discount, limited-assortment grocery chains and a wholly owned subsidiary of SUPERVALU Inc., is opening 13 new stores in Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York between February and March.

The locations of the new stores and the dates they are scheduled to open are as follows:

Tennessee

  • 950 S. McCrary St., Woodbury (opened Feb. 15)
  • 1109 Murfreesboro Pike, Nashville (scheduled to open Feb. 23)
  • 6901 Lee Highway, Chattanooga (scheduled to open Feb. 28)

Pennsylvania

  • 111 West 13th St., Tyrone (opened on Feb. 15)
  • 19040 Park Ave., Meadville (scheduled to open Feb. 22)
  • 2209 West 12th, Erie (scheduled to open March 21)
  • 1500 Main St., Peckville (scheduled to open in late March)

Save-A-Lot also opened two stores in Pennsylvania in January:

  • 1500 Garrett Rd., Upper Darby (opened Jan. 25)
  • 1700 East River Road, Clearfield (opened Jan. 30)

Ohio

  • 204 High St., Wadsworth (opened Feb. 16)
  • 6700 Hamilton Ave., Cincinnati (scheduled to open March 14)
  • 2200 Mock Road, Columbus (scheduled to open March 28)

In addition, in January Save-A-Lot opened a store in Cleveland at 11905 Superior Ave

New York

  • 2327 Seminary St., Auburn (opened Feb. 7)
  • 3 Geddes St., Holley (opened Feb. 15)
  • 6000 Park Ave., Hamburg (scheduled to open Feb. 25)

Since January 2011 and including these new stores, Save-A-Lot has added six new stores in Tennessee, 11 new stores in Pennsylvania, 14 new stores in Ohio, and seven new stores in New York.
