Coombe Castle Becomes Exclusive Exporter Of Wexford Irish Cheddars

CORSHAM, WILTSHIRE, ENGLAND — Coombe Castle International, a Queen’s Award-winning, premiere British dairy export company for over 30 years, announced that they have become the exclusive exporter for Wexford Creamery’s Irish Cheddars.

Since being established in 1959, in County Wexford, Ireland, Wexford Creamery has been renowned for their award-winning, traditional Irish Cheddars, made solely from the fresh milk of local Wexford free range cows. County Wexford is known as the “Sunny Southeast” of Ireland supporting lush, green grazing pastures for 10 months out of the year.

“We are very proud to have this opportunity,” said Coombe Castle’s U.S. National Sales Manager, Adrian Hurrell, “Wexford Creamery has extraordinary relationships with local farmers and along with their strict quality controls, Wexford cheeses consistently set the standards in the industry.”

To celebrate Coombe Castle’s new relationship with Wexford Creamery, Leprechauns will be serving Wexford’s 12 – 14 month Mature Cheddar at the 2012 Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco, CA, booth #4837.

Described as smooth bodied with a full rich flavour and a hint of sweetness, Wexford Mature Cheddar is a prime example of traditional Irish Cheddar.
