Jennifer Fancher was recently hired as director of marketing for Growers Express, Salinas, CA-based farmer-owned and integrated grower, packer and shipper of fresh fruits and vegetables, including those marketed under the Green Giant® Fresh label.
An experienced account and project manager, Fancher has an extensive background in both marketing and product sales analysis. Her success in agribusiness — with a focus on produce, deli and packaged goods, with specialties in process refinement, project management, in-depth sales analysis and research — was recently acknowledged by PRODUCE BUSINESS, which in 2011 recognized Fancher as a “40-under-Forty Rising Star in Produce” selection.
Before Growers Express, Fancher was Category Manager for Driscoll Strawberry Associates in Watsonville, CA, where she increased category sales through campaign analysis, planning and strategy implementation. Prior to that, as an Account Manager for market research firm Perishables Group, Fancher was responsible for category management consulting, consumer research projects, and making policy recommendations and presenting to a diverse set of grocery and mass merchandise retailers on behalf of produce and deli clients.
Fancher, a native Californian with bachelor and masters degrees in business administration from Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, CA, now lives in Salinas with her husband and three children.
