The Bay State’s first Wegmans supermarket has 100 full-time and 400 part-time openings at its new store set to open in October in Northboro.
“We’ve received nearly 3,500 applications so far, and the quality of the applicants has been excellent,” said Kevin Russell, the store manager, in a statement. “I’d encourage anyone seeking a full-time or part-time job to apply right away.”
Wegmans has openings for customer service positions in the meat, seafood, cheese and produce sections as well as grocery and culinary departments. Russell declined to specify starting wages, but typically these entry-level jobs offer minimum wage, according to retail experts.
