mpXML Becomes The GS1 US Meat & Poultry Workgroup

The Meat and Poultry Business-to-Business Data Standards Organization, also known as mpXML, has been integrated into the GS1 US Meat and Poultry Workgroup. Former mpXML members will continue to support the movement toward standards-based business processes and data synchronization in the meat and poultry industry through collaboration with GS1 US, a member of the global information standards organization GS1. GS1 Standards are the most widely used supply chain standards in the world.

Beef Checkoff Highlighted At New England Meat Conference

The beef checkoff was honored as a Crown Roast sponsor at the 2014 New England Meat Conference in Concord, N.H., March 7-8. A partnership between the national beef checkoff's Northeast Beef Promotion Initiative, the Vermont Beef Industry Council and the Pennsylvania Beef Council's Northeast Dairy Beef Quality Assurance Contract helped highlight the latest checkoff efforts to more than 300 New England packers, restaurant operators, retailers, producers, and meat cutters at the conference.
